Yoga is often seen as some unobtainable goal. Either you have to tried it, think it is something that is not meant for you or you have a misunderstanding about what it is. I am here to tell that you can do yoga. No matter you background, your culture, your beliefs and it has nothing to do with your body type. Yoga has so many great benefits and of the most profounds ways it can impact your overall health is your mental health. Yoga helps you work out those thoughts and/or feelings that weigh you down. I like the reference I heard of yoga as working from the inside out; which is the opposite of all other exercises. I also like that you can practice with next to nothing…sometimes with just a breathe. a smile. or showing someone kindness. The beauty of yoga is that is about the way you feel. There is no pain (or there should not be) but just finding your bliss in your body and mind. So if I have dispelled the myth for you; why not give it a try!
